Conforming To A Defeated World Brings Defeat.. Transforming By The Word Of God Brings Victory

Romans 12:2, And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God. The Word of God is given to us to renew our minds so we can overcome what we need to overcome in life and walk with God in joy, faith, love, hope and power. Having a renewed mind helps you to take a stand to do certain things and not to do certain things.

That means, not everyone is going to be like you. The people who are taking a stand for God are going to stand with you and cheer you on while the people who aren’t standing for God are going to come against you at times. God is no respecter of persons. Romans 2:11, “For there is no respect of persons with God. He gave each and every one of us a brain with way more capacity than any of us will ever use. He gave us more than we need and no one was left out which means that we have the power to do something if anyone else has ever done it.

If someone else has served God and been used by Him, you know you can. Millions upon millions throughout history, under every imaginable circumstance have lived under the blessing, the anointing and goodness of God. Millions across the country and around the world today are enjoying the benefits of daily walking with God. Full salvation, forgiveness, love, peace, hope, prosperity, blessing on their businesses and finances. What do these people have in common? You don’t find anything in common, except they believed they could be saved and asked the Lord to save them.

What does it take? Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” When you’re born, our brains goes into the learning mode. You begin learning sounds, faces, smells and words. We’re just soaking up everything around us. Then as we get older, during our early years, we begin to understand the meanings of words and what things mean. Some parents raise their kids in loving and supportive environments and others don’t. That rubs off on the child. Sometimes we have one supportive parent and the other one is distant or rough on us. That can also rub off on the child.

If we’re raised around lying, deception, criticism, distrust, anger and things like that, it causes us to develop fear, doubt, uncertainty, mistrust and a sense of inferiority. We expect for things to not work out and have negative expectations or what the Bible calls “doubt”.

One fruit of this is the unrealistically high positive expectation. Not being around positive and successful people, we aren’t sure what’s involved in having things work out, so we set our hopes high on a job, or a relationship, another person, money or on possessions and expect them to for us what they can’t do. The vast majority of people are raised with negative thinking and have negative, or unrealistically positive expectations.

People Become Their Own Worst Enemies. 2 Tim. 2:25, “In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth. Having a negative mindset, we can be easily offended and sabotage our own lives.

All it takes is for something little to not go their way or a person to say something they don’t like and they ultimately end up quitting jobs, relationships and even church. “I don’t like that person, I think I’ll just quit!” Years later, they’ve gone from one bad job to another, through a couple bad marriages, quit church after church and they feel that they’ve had a hard life and get mad at God. Alone, broke, alienated, mad at life, humanity and God. It’s about renewing your mind to the Word of God and acting on it. Saying What He says. Jeremiah 1:9, “Then the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. People need to hear what God says.

People are blessed by you saying what God says not because of you, but because you said what people need to hear. When you say what God says, people are blessed. Everyone is saying either what the world says drains people or what God says edifies and saves people. People want to hear anytime someone is overcoming. 1 Corinthians 13:13, “And now abideth faith, hope, charity and these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Whenever we speak, we need to bring in overcoming, blessing and edification. People need to hear hope, faith and love. Mostly, they need to hear love, good things about other people and themselves. The world gives fear, doubt and hatred. People are positive about the past and negative about the present and future. Hope sees the future as going to be better.

Speaking positively about the present and future even when it seems hard. Negative about the past is okay but don’t stay there. If remain in that same spot, you’ll never move forward.
